Wireless Everywhere

Ubiquitous wireless access to the internet is fast approaching, with even the notoriously slow to move telcos starting to put up hotspots. Using payphones is a stroke of brilliance, as well.

The downside is the Verizon service is only open to Verizon ISP customers. The upside is that the service is being provided to them free of charge, which may lead to all ISP customers insisting on anywhere access.

It’s really too bad we’re not in the dotcom gold rush anymore. I’m sure some VC would have given me a couple of million in funding to turn street vendor’s carts into hotspots…
